Delete Your BASE Account and Data

BASE users may request permanent deletion of their BASE account and the personal information associated with that account. A verified parent or legal guardian may submit a request on behalf of a minor user.

Information to include

Please send the request from the email address associated with the BASE account whenever possible and include:

The account holder's full name
The email address associated with the account
The associated team or organization
If applicable, the requester's relationship to a minor account holder

Never include your BASE password in an email.

What Will Be Deleted

After verifying the request, BASE will delete the account and personal information directly associated with it from its active systems. This may include:

Account and profile information
Contact and authentication information
Team membership information
Assessment and check-in responses
Free-text responses
Device identifiers and notification tokens
Other usage information directly linked to the account

Deletion from active systems will ordinarily be completed within 30 days after the request has been verified.

Backup Copies

After information is deleted from BASE's active systems, residual copies may remain temporarily in encrypted, access-restricted disaster-recovery backups. These residual copies will be deleted or overwritten through BASE's normal backup-rotation process within 90 days after deletion from the active systems.

Backup copies will not be used for ordinary operations, marketing, analytics, product development, or research. If a backup is restored before the retention period expires, previously completed deletion requests will be reapplied.

Limited Exceptions

BASE does not ordinarily retain identifiable account information after deletion. If information is subject to a specific legal hold or binding legal obligation, BASE may retain only the information necessary to satisfy that obligation and will delete it when the obligation ends.

Information that has been irreversibly de-identified and can no longer reasonably be connected to an individual may be retained for legitimate analytics, product improvement, or approved research.
